Rated E / Clasificacion E

This past Sunday I participated on a fencing tournament (the Battle of the Bayou). I fenced on the Mixed Epee event. There were 26 fencers and my objective was to finish among the top 12 so that I could get my E rating.
The USFA (United States Fencing Association) rates fencers as A,B,C,D,E and U (for unrated) based on their results on different tournaments. It is some sort of objective way of grading your skill as a fencer.
I ended up on the 12th position and I got my E rating!
The bout that gave me the rating finished on an exciting 15-14 score and I was very fortunate to get some coaching advise (and cheering!) from another fencer from my club.
At the time of this post, the ratings were still not updated, but they told me that usually takes a few days.
Although it is not confirmed by the USFA, I like to believe that the E stands for Excellent Fencer :-)
Now let's go for the D!

------------------------------------
